After first picking up a guitar on his eleventh birthday in Somers, New York, Dan Zlotnick taught himself to play and has never stopped. He was the lead guitarist for his alternative high school rock band, Hot Soup. He continued to perform covers whenever he could before leaping into his current career as a songwriter. His sound today is influenced by artists like Led Zeppelin, Allman Brothers, John Prince and Bruce Springsteen.
Dan performs tirelessly around New York’s Hudson Valley and beyond, taking the stage at the 2018 Pleasantville Music Festival, the Paramount Hudson Valley (opening for Grammy winner Marc Cohn twice), the Towne Crier (opening for Patty Larkin), Garcia’s at The Capitol Theatre, and more. With a contemporary Americana flair, Dan’s music reflects his love of classic rock and blues. His evocative lyrics, captivating melodies, and energetic performances exude Dan’s passion for creating and sharing his music with everyone around him.
